All images and documents are managed from the Image & Document Manager.  The web pages for you website are not contained here.

  1. Folders can be added and deleted with exceptions.  Only folders that are empty may be deleted.  The root folder cannot be deleted empty or otherwise.
  2. Files must be uploaded from your local computer before they can be used on the website.  Select browse to find the file on your local computer’s hard drive.  Once you’ve found the desired image select it and the file will populate the input box.  Now, click upload to upload that file.  You may also upload multiple files by selecting the “Upload Multiple” button.  This will open a dialog that would allow you select multiple files at a time to upload.
  3. Any jpg image can be resized.  Check the files (7) that you would like to resize.  Input the size to resize to in pixels.  The resize will resize to the long side of the target image.  You have the option of resizing the existing image or resize the image as a new one.  Once your selections are made, click the resize button to process the request.  The resize will physically resize the image’s dimensions and recompress the image, so the file size will change as well.  You should only resize images to a smaller size than the original, never larger.
  4. Select the files you would like to delete and press delete selected to remove them.  There is no recovery from this operation.  You should only delete images that are not being used, as indicated in the list view (7).
  5. To move or copy files from one folder to another, check the files and select “Move To” or “Copy To”, select the destination folder and press the “Move/Copy Files” button.  VSM tools will update all references to the files that have been linked to or images inserted into pages, so that no pages will break.
  6. The folder structure is listed here.  If the folder is also a gallery it will be indicated by camera/folder icon.
  7. The file results list will display the name of the file (clicking the name will display the full path to the image), the if “used” and how many times (clicking this number will display where the image is inserted), preview of the image (click for actual size) and the edit image button.  The Edit button is only available for images and will open the image editing program.
  8. To edit a gallery select the gallery from the dropdown list.  The add gallery button is not available on the root directory and a gallery can only be added to a folder that contains images.  To create a new gallery, create a new folder first, select the new folder then click the create gallery button.  Both the edit and create gallery will the Gallery Manager detailed next.
